Ballet and Dance Technique

Veronique Breen, Motion Arts studio owner and Specialized Gyrotonic Master Trainer, has an extensive dance background. Originally from Belgium, Veronique studied dance and ballet in Europe, performing with the Royal Ballet of Flanders and The National Ballet of Amsterdam. She danced in ballets from renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine, Martha Graham, Caroline Carlson, Hans van Manen, William Forsyth, and Redha. Her training and performance repetoire includes a wide variety of dance techniques including classical ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, spanish, and character dance.

Veronique brings her exquisite knowledge of dance technique and performance background to her classes at Motion Arts. With her extensive repertoire and technical skill, she has created classes that are creative, challenging, and fun. Her attention to detail and knowledge of injury prevention is infused into each class, which always include tips and techniques for body awareness and efficiency of movement. This allows her clients to focus on having fun while safely supporting their conditioning goals.

Classes with Veronique are currently enjoyed by dancers and World Champion figure skaters in the Metro Detroit area. Private or small group ballet and contemporary dance classes are available by request.
